I joined the Female Leaders Club because, truthfully, I’m a huge introvert. At the same time, I have to push myself to get involved in communities, because I do enjoy being cozy at home under my blanket. But then you really miss out on this. Not just to receive, but also to give. I find this simply amazing.
One of the things I really appreciate about the Female Leaders Club is that Maartje is strict about the revenue threshold. Not just anyone is allowed to join. That might sound a bit arrogant when I say it like that, but at the same time, I often find that when I join communities, I’m always the one giving. And while I enjoy doing that, sometimes I also want to lean back and ask for advice. Here, it’s truly at a certain level, and it feels much more balanced for me. That’s a kind of security I was really looking for.
There’s a desire within me to have a certain connection, and that desire is truly fulfilled in the Female Leaders Club. So it feels very satisfying. Afterwards, I always find it so rewarding that I attended. That’s why I would recommend this to others. I often find that in communities, we get into a certain vibe, focusing on our business, our clients, and so on. But there’s so much more outside of that where you can gain a lot of satisfaction, and that also drives exponential growth in your business.
The biggest growth doesn’t come from you pulling all the strings. The biggest growth still comes from word-of-mouth. You have word-of-mouth from your clients, but you also get it from your community. And that’s something that happens here as well. So growth and connection occur on so many levels, and I just find that really valuable. Plus, I think Maartje is a fantastic woman, and the way she holds this community together is simply brilliant.
At first, the Female Leaders Club seemed like a fun way to have like-minded, inspiring, strong women around me, but it became so much more than that.
I’ve always been a bit of a lone wolf and was someone who did and could do a lot on her own, but I missed the connection with others who also wanted to grow and make an impact. Entrepreneurs with their hearts in the right place, who want to build a better world together—that’s what I missed. That’s why I sought out ambitious female entrepreneurs who shared the same values.
In the Female Leaders Club, I found not only connection and fun but also concrete steps for my business that I wouldn’t have taken otherwise. For example, through the mastermind sessions, I picked up the book I had started twice and stopped twice, and I’ve since published it. The suggestions I received accelerated the project. That was truly incredible. And there are more examples like this.
It’s not just about my own growth; the network ensures that we all support each other. I also really value the discussions happening now in the online community. About time management, self-care, and smart growth—topics we all deal with. I find it touching how we can talk about these things and support each other. At the same time, you know these are incredibly strong women with the same desire: to build a successful business with growth ambitions.
What I appreciate is the way we treat each other. It’s supportive and heartfelt, without any harshness. It feels like a circle of friends, where I meet strong, inspiring women who all want to grow and make a positive impact. And all in a light and vibrant atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend others to join the Female Leaders Club. It’s a place of organic growth, positivity, and serious business, led by someone with a genuine desire to bring together a diverse group of powerful women. You become like those you surround yourself with, and I feel at home, supported, and inspired at the Female Leaders Club. You can rely on each other, help each other, and look at what you can do for one another. But also: how can you create business together? How can you strengthen each other’s business?
Maartje is, of course, the heart of the community, and she embodies that so well. It aligns perfectly with my values in my own business. It’s about people who want to put something good into the world and, of course, make money doing it, but primarily want to make an impact. And looking at how we can do that together in a beautiful, positive way.
I set myself the goal in 2023 to surround myself with women who were further ahead than me. Women I could look up to because I noticed that in many situations, I was the one who was the furthest along. As a business coach, people tend to quickly come to you for information. But I noticed that because of that, I was always the one working, and I never had women around me who inspired me.
But how do you find yourself in a club with successful female entrepreneurs? Then one day, I saw Maartje’s Instagram story about the high tea she organized for female leaders. I thought: “Fucking hell. This is exactly what I want. This is exactly what I’m looking for. Who do I need to be and what do I need to do to be there next time?”
A small part of me also found it really nerve-wracking. What if I can’t offer enough value? But personally, the club has shown me that I fit in just fine. I’ve realized that I can hold my own in a group. In a group with women who have been entrepreneurs for much longer and who, in purely financial terms, are more successful. Thankfully, I fit in nicely and I add value with what I know, can do, and who I am as a person.
I love the way we interact with each other and how the meetings are constructive and productive. There’s very little complaining, very little negativity. Questions are asked with a focus on solutions. These are women who all do their inner work, who aren’t easily triggered by others, which makes it such a pleasant environment to be in. And that’s what I enjoy most about it. Seeing how others do things, brainstorming together, and realizing that at every level, we face the same challenges. Even when someone is running a completely different kind of business or facing different obstacles, you can still learn a lot and take valuable insights back to your own business. Plus, it’s just a lot of fun!
So, if you want to surround yourself with like-minded people, and you don’t have people in your circle who are running businesses at a high-performance level, then this is a huge recommendation. This is truly another level. The conversations are on another level. There’s a strong focus on solutions. And on top of that, the Female Leaders Club has given me the opportunity to be on stage at a cool event on March 7th.
I love being in this environment. Forget “the sky’s the limit”—there is no limit!
“I was subscribed to Maartje’s newsletter, and at some point, I saw an email about her starting the Female Leaders Club. I didn’t hesitate for a second before joining because I had been looking for a network club for women, but specifically women at a similar level. So when I saw it, I was quickly convinced that I wanted to become a member.
One specific insight I’ve gained from the Female Leaders Club isn’t necessarily one big revelation, but rather a lot of small tips that are shared in the WhatsApp group and the masterminds. Even if it’s not always the question you’re directly dealing with, there’s always something that comes up where you think, ‘Yes, I can apply that to my business or my situation.’ So it’s actually a collection of small tips that help you improve your business.
What’s special about the Female Leaders Club is that you join a group of women you don’t really know, but it immediately feels warm and familiar because everyone has built their own business. We’re all facing similar challenges. Being able to brainstorm with a group of women like that is incredibly valuable. And you don’t need to know each other for a long time or in great detail to be on the same level right away. I’ve been a member of the Female Leaders Club for just a year now, and if you look at what’s happened in that year, what Maartje and Lis have built together to make it even better—it’s very impressive and incredibly valuable to be part of as a member.
I would absolutely recommend the Female Leaders Club because it’s incredibly valuable to be able to brainstorm with others about your business. You learn so much, build great new friendships and connections. I haven’t found another group where you meet such a supportive club of women, where everyone helps each other, gets through tough situations together, but also has a lot of fun with each other.”
“Before I joined the Female Leaders Club, there were few people in my network who understood what I was doing with my online business. As an equine veterinarian, of course, you’re mostly treating horses, but almost no one is involved in online entrepreneurship. I was really looking for people who do the same thing as I do, so we could learn from each other and support each other. I’ve definitely found that in the Female Leaders Club.
I learn from every meeting and every conversation with a female leader. We all face the same struggles, and just hearing that is comforting. Plus, someone always has an answer to every question. This is because someone in the group has already experienced it or knows from her own experience how to handle it. We can ask each other questions on all fronts.
I also find the online community incredibly valuable. There are questions asked there that I hadn’t thought of before, but which have been incredibly helpful to me. It helps you think a step further and approach things differently in your business, allowing you to grow faster and more effectively together.
It’s super valuable to have a network of such successful women, where you can help each other grow even faster. Plus, it’s wonderful to be able to share your struggles and wins with people who understand what you’re going through. I find it incredibly valuable!”
“Through Maartje, I heard about the Female Leaders Club, and I thought, well, this is the right moment for me. I was just about to shift towards a more scalable offering, towards a business. And I thought it would be great to surround myself with like-minded people.
I’ve been an entrepreneur for four years now. One of the challenges I faced was that I mainly work with large international brands and often work from home. As a result, I frequently connect with other communities.
When I first joined, the Female Leaders Club was largely made up of people who primarily worked in coaching. But now, the group has become incredibly diverse. So, while I initially had some doubts about whether this was the right group for me, I’ve since realized that it’s a very diverse and entrepreneurial crowd. During the last mastermind session, I asked several questions… And it was actually the responses and the questions that were asked back to me that led me to a deeper understanding of my own business. It helped me tremendously to reshape my business in ways I wouldn’t have thought of, or perhaps much later.
Maartje is super supportive, always available to provide feedback or give advice. The same goes for all the other women. The great thing is that if you need advice, there’s always someone who can help. But I see Maartje as the one who always brings everyone together with energy and keeps everyone engaged.
I would definitely recommend people to become members of the Female Leaders Club. I think it’s incredibly valuable to have a group of like-minded people around you. And community is something that benefits everyone.”
“What brings me to the Female Leaders Club is my desire to grow and develop. I noticed that I’m growing faster than some of the other entrepreneurs around me, so I felt, yes, I want to be part of the Female Leaders Club.
I already knew masterminding in a different context, and what I love is that you achieve results very quickly. You also get a lot of different perspectives from other people.
My business and my personal life are completely intertwined, and I find it a relief to be able to bring everything here with a business mindset. But it’s still about me—what’s holding me back or what stimulates me and energizes me.
It’s very nice that it’s a small group, so it’s easy to connect with everyone. I love beautiful locations, good food, good company, and combining all of that.
‘Community’ is a bit of a buzzword, and everyone talks about communities. Now I understand even better how big that can be. The phrase ‘communities keep you alive’ really resonates with me. That’s a beautiful sentence. Yes, that one sticks with me.”
“I came across the Female Leaders Club via Instagram, and I immediately thought, that’s definitely a club I want to be part of. As an entrepreneur, I often searched for a group of entrepreneurs who operate at the same level, maybe even further, or who face similar challenges. People I can learn from, people I can brainstorm with. And for me, the Female Leaders Club felt like the place where I could find that.
What I love about the club is that everyone is really open to each other and truly wants to help each other move forward. So, if someone asks a question, responses come from all directions. For example, I recently created a masterclass and wanted some honest feedback on it. And I know that when I ask for that in this club, I get real feedback—not just kind words, but also critical notes, delivered with respect and love. What I’ve really taken away from it are the shared experiences, which I find amazing.
It also brings you to a different way of thinking as an entrepreneur. I directly gain customers and collaborations with other entrepreneurs. Maartje is, of course, a fantastic initiator. She sees so many opportunities and possibilities so quickly. She’s naturally the community queen, and she embodies and exemplifies what’s possible. What’s great is that you don’t just have to show your successful side as an entrepreneur, but you can also learn from each other’s vulnerable sides.
I would recommend the Female Leaders Club to everyone—every entrepreneur who wants to develop themselves, who wants to lead consciously, and who is thinking about their role as both a leader and an entrepreneur. To see yourself as bigger than you have up until now. I think this club is especially suitable for entrepreneurs who have a genuine desire to keep evolving, who are willing to look inward. It’s for those who are also seeking a diverse group, not just entrepreneurs from the bubble you’re usually in, but those who want to step outside of that and explore further.”
“I joined the Female Leaders Club because I really missed having a group around me that operated at a slightly higher level and thought more deeply. A group I could learn from, so I wasn’t always the one providing answers to everyone, but instead, I would also go home with valuable knowledge at the end of the day.
I’ve significantly expanded my network. There are quite a few ladies I only knew online, but now I’ve met them in person. So, if something comes up, you can quickly send them a message or ask for help. Their network can also be leveraged. We’ve had some amazing collaborations, like a summit, and now there’s a podcast coming up. I’ve even gained a client through it, which is, of course, fantastic.
It’s also just fun and enjoyable. I find the masterminding particularly valuable because you receive input from so many different perspectives on your challenges. Since all the entrepreneurs have a strong track record, their answers are really worth following because they truly know what they’re talking about.
I regularly recommend it when people ask me if it’s something for them. If they’re reaching a point where they want to attend live days with a larger group, I think this is the perfect fit. What I appreciate most is that I get to connect with so many people, even those outside our usual online bubble, who have knowledge in areas I don’t often encounter. So, yes, I always recommend it.”
“I think it’s fantastic to be able to spar together with such a group of women, to level up with each other and to be able to bring something themselves and also get something every now and then.
This is such a beautiful community where you can meet like-minded women who all understand what we are doing and know how to take each other’s ambition to a higher level. Delicious! Last mastermind I received such beautiful eye-openers that I thought oh, that was my blind spot! Or: I hadn’t thought of that! But also my own limiting beliefs. That I was mirrored again and thought yes, is it true?
The Female Leaders Club is actually one of a kind. In terms of content it is very strong. We use each other’s strengths. There is a social element to it. There is so much you can get out of it.
I think Maartje is a really great connector. She is a woman who stands there. She is someone who sees you, who lifts you higher. You get something for everyone. And even if I come with an attitude of ‘I don’t really have to get anything today’, I still come home with a treasure chest.”
“Last year, I noticed that Maartje had started the Female Leaders Club, and I thought: it would be wonderful to join. One great insight I’ve gained from being part of this club is how nice it is to be among women. I used to be somewhat averse to the idea of a women’s group. But then I thought, these are truly ambitious women. That creates a different atmosphere, one where there is a lot of care for one another.
The ease with which everyone connects… There are also entrepreneurs with businesses far larger than mine. I never feel the need to diminish myself, but still, when we meet and sit together in a mastermind at a dinner, it naturally levels out. There’s absolutely no sense of “I’m bigger, and you’re smaller” or the other way around. I find that very special.
At first, I wondered, what kind of group is this? What will they do? Will I fit in easily? But I quickly established a very positive and open connection with Maartje. Of course, I run a business that could be an ideal client for many coaches or advisors who are part of the group. What I wasn’t keen on was the idea of people pitching to me at events. But that doesn’t happen here, which is a huge relief.
Maartje is, of course, a natural connector. And that’s so special. She has an energy about her that radiates warmth and genuinely connects people, continuously. She always seeks an automatic win-win, and I don’t mean economically, but on a human level. I always say you attract the people you deserve, and I believe that’s also the case for Maartje and this group.
I would recommend the Female Leaders Club because it’s so pleasant to brainstorm with like-minded entrepreneurs in a non-competitive way. What’s also great is the mix of in-depth masterminds and fun outings. It’s not a group where you’re expected to stay in touch every week, but the frequency is enough to maintain a connection. And I find that quite remarkable.”
“What I find quite difficult about what I do is that I do a lot of things on my own. So I often miss support, I often miss advice. And I can really find that in this group.
During the last mastermind I gained a great insight. It sounds a bit cheesy, but it was dream big. So I actually always keep myself small. And especially in this company of women where everyone dreams big, I learned to think bigger last time.
What I find very special about this group is that it is a truly dedicated number of women, who really want to help each other, but who also all have a mission.
What I have also really missed is women who I can relate to a bit. So women who have advice for me that is really useful to me. So women who are actually a little further along in how they do business and that’s something I’m really learning here.
I have known Maartje for a very long time. Maartje has helped me enormously to realize how enormous the power of community is. And finally she has founded a community here again.
I think this community is also really suitable for women who want to make an impact together. So who are open to not only doing great things on their own, but that together we can achieve more. If you are open to that, then this really suits you. If you are ready for the next step in your business, but you find it a bit exciting and you are actually looking for like-minded women who also have a mission and who want to think about your goals with you, then this is the place you should go are.”
“I joined the Female Leaders Club because I saw a post from Maartje on Instagram. And then I immediately thought, oh, I want to be here.
What I encountered at other clubs or events was that there were often a lot of starters. What I really like about this club is that it is such a mixed group. There are people with physical businesses, with online businesses, people with employees, and without employees. So basically whenever you have a question, there is someone who has already worked on it.
An insight I have gained from being a member here at the Female Leaders Club is that every level has its new devil. And that everyone encounters things again. And that you are not alone. Things you encounter and look up to.
Maartje is of course really the leading lady of this Female Leaders Club. She really makes it a warm bath for everyone. She makes everyone feel so welcome. I think it is a really great task that she has taken on by setting up this club.
Why I would recommend the Female Leaders Club is really because it is such a nice company. They are really nice women. There is so much knowledge, there is so much expertise. I am always very happy to be here and I would say come and try it out. This club is suitable for women who really want to grow their business, who really have big ambitions, big dreams and who also want to chase after it.”
“I run an online business and work on my own. I do have a team around me, but they work remotely. I think it’s really exciting to meet more people, especially those who are on the same level as I am, to brainstorm with. That’s what made me interested in joining the Female Leaders Club. Someone mentioned it to me, saying, “Hey, this might be something for you.” I might have had some doubts, like, who are these people? In terms of their mindset and ambition. But those doubts didn’t last long, because I quickly saw who was part of the group. And I thought, okay, these are exactly the kind of people I’d love to surround myself with.
The concrete result and insight I’ve gained through the Female Leaders Club is that I always say, your business is a vehicle for something much bigger than yourself, something you want to create. I feel that this idea is further refined and shared within this group.
What I find unique and valuable about the Female Leaders Club is that it’s all women. I was never really into women’s networks before, but I now find it very enjoyable and valuable. It’s inspiring to see how other women approach opportunities and position themselves. And of course, my own contribution to helping other women grow their leadership is important too. That mutual support is something I find incredibly valuable.
I would recommend this club to female entrepreneurs who want to grow their business, not only in terms of revenue but especially in terms of leadership. The women who join this club understand that they are more than just a mother, a grandmother, or a daughter. Yet, I still see many women thinking too small. I believe that when you’re immersed in a growth-driven environment and seek inspiration from others—how do other women achieve their goals, and what can I learn from them?—but also think about what you can give back, this is a highly interesting group to be a part of.”
“I joined the Female Leaders Club because I really wanted to brainstorm with other entrepreneurs about their businesses and generate new ideas together.
As an entrepreneur, I often feel like I’m doing everything on my own, coming up with ideas by myself. But it’s really nice to be able to consult with others who are on the same level.
What I get out of it, for sure, are great connections. All the women are lovely, and it’s always a pleasure to spend a day with them. They’re all enthusiastic and driven.
I would definitely recommend entrepreneurial women to join the club because it’s just so much fun to mastermind with other women a few times a year and get to know other business owners. It gives you the feeling that you don’t have to do everything alone.
How often do you get the chance to have people specifically think along with you on your challenges? And in that way, you help each other. It’s often easier to come up with ideas for someone else than for yourself. And it makes me realize how much I know but don’t always put into practice. So, you help others, and in turn, others help you. It’s incredibly valuable.
I think it’s amazing that Maartje set this up. The idea of “there isn’t a mastermind group in the Netherlands at this level, so I’ll just organize it myself” is really inspiring. It’s fantastic that other female entrepreneurs can benefit from this. She’s incredibly driven, organizes everything down to the last detail, and it’s always guaranteed to be a fun day with great people around you.”
“The reason I wanted to join the Female Leaders Club is that I was looking for a group of like-minded entrepreneurs who can brainstorm at a higher level and help think through specific business challenges. I have a large network of female entrepreneurs, but not at the level the Female Leaders Club operates. So, when I came across it, I thought: I have to join, this is incredible.
It’s so valuable to be able to learn from each other and help one another grow. As an entrepreneur, it can sometimes be difficult when you face certain questions. Sure, you can ask your team or people around you, but it’s not the same as having other entrepreneurs who are further along to act as a sounding board.
What really opened my eyes was how willing everyone is to help each other. When you meet other entrepreneurs, you tend to focus on sharing what’s going well and what’s exciting. In the Female Leaders Club, I’ve learned that it’s important to sometimes show vulnerability and be open. Being honest about when something isn’t working and asking, “What could I do differently? How can you help me with this?” brings about incredible outcomes. Don’t be afraid to ask the questions you don’t want to or are hesitant to ask, just do it. It will only help you move forward.
Maartje is, of course, the heart of the Female Leaders Club. She is the driving force behind the group and one of the reasons everyone approaches it with such openness and warmth.
What I find particularly valuable about the Female Leaders Club is that while we often meet to discuss business, there’s also a personal touch. For example, we meet up to go bowling. It allows you to get to know each other better, beyond just the business side of things, and fosters genuine connections.
If you’re looking to surround yourself with more female leaders who can brainstorm at the level you need but aren’t finding in your current environment, this is absolutely the group to join, in my opinion. You can bring your questions to the table, and you’ll find a whole group of warm, supportive people ready to help you. I think that’s really beautiful.”
“I was really looking for a networking group with more established entrepreneurs, people who generate significant revenue, so I could connect on a higher level. In my business, I often felt the need to brainstorm. Of course, you don’t always have colleagues around, and it’s crucial to have people to bounce your ideas off of throughout the day—people who have been in the arena and truly understand what it’s like. At the Female Leaders Club, I’ve found exactly those people. They know how things work, and that’s incredibly valuable.
One of the results I’ve gained from the Female Leaders Club is learning how to better manage my work-life balance. I have a very successful business, but also a household and two children. What’s great is that we don’t only talk about business, but also how to balance everything. That’s something I’ve really learned—by listening to others’ questions, you also learn a lot about yourself.
Maartje is an incredible connector. She’s just a lovely person—very approachable and cheerful. I really feel her energy, and it makes me enthusiastic as well. She’s brilliant at building communities. The way she set this up so quickly and does it so well—she should really be proud of herself.
What I find valuable about the Female Leaders Club is that the women here are at such a high level. They’re incredibly intelligent, think outside the box, and are very goal-oriented. It’s wonderful to be part of this group, and you also end up making new friends along the way.
I would recommend the Female Leaders Club to people who are already doing well with their business and want to brainstorm and surround themselves with others who are also thriving. It gives an incredible boost to your business and to yourself, and that’s something I wish for everyone.”
“I have a soft spot for female leaders. By following Maartje, I saw that she was working with female leaders, and that piqued my curiosity.
I was facing the challenge of having a lot of clients, and because I’m so busy and devote a lot of time to them, I wasn’t able to take that next step to evaluate how I could do things differently.
The Female Leaders Club appealed to me because it’s filled with women who have already done that. They’ve built online businesses or have scaled up. So, there’s a wealth of knowledge and experience there. I thought, how great would it be if I could tap into that? I often felt like I had to do everything myself. One of my personal quotes is, “You have to do it yourself, but you don’t have to do it alone.” When the Female Leaders Club came along, I knew I had to join.
In the beginning, I had some doubts because, of course, there’s an investment involved. I like investing in myself, but I wasn’t sure exactly what I was investing in. So, I took a bit of a leap of faith, trusting my intuition. At the same time, I knew there would be masterminds, and I truly believe in the power of masterminds. I decided to stop doubting and just dive in, and I’m immensely grateful I did.
Being surrounded by a large group of women who dare to stand tall, choose themselves, ask for what they’re worth, and scale up—it sparks something exciting in me.
Maartje is truly an angel. I see her passion, and that’s what drew me in. I can see she genuinely wants to harness the power of these women. As a leadership coach, I always view things through that lens. The courage with which she steps into her leadership is something I really admire. We often say in organizations, “create a container where people can grow,” and I believe she’s building a fantastic container here where we can grow.
And all the women I meet here want to pass it on. So, the container she’s building, in which we grow, is something we pass on to the rest of the world. I think it’s a beautiful example of curious leadership, courageous leadership, and servant leadership. That’s something I deeply resonate with.”
“What I found really appealing was the idea of bringing together women who are all independent and run their own businesses, but also appreciate the opportunity to mastermind with others from time to time. Essentially, we consult with each other, so you can seek advice when needed, because it’s not always available elsewhere.
I think I’ve become braver, especially with finalizing my book project. I noticed that other female leaders had already successfully published books, and that was the final push I needed. I thought, “If they can do it, then I can too.”
I think Maartje is doing an amazing job. That’s one of the reasons I love being part of this club. Maartje is incredibly inspiring, she’s enthusiastic, and she’s not afraid to show her vulnerability. She takes us along with her on her journey and the steps she’s taking, which is really motivating.
I believe many women here are either already entrepreneurs or want to start their own online business, each from a different field and with a unique perspective. What’s great is that everyone makes a real effort to participate. In many other groups, things can feel a bit casual, and you might not get the same sense of group cohesion, but that’s not the case here. We really know what each of us is working on, and that makes it easier to connect with one another. It’s also wonderful how we stay connected, even through WhatsApp groups, so if you have a question, you get a quick response. There’s always someone ready to help.”
“I was actually inspired by Maartje and took the leap this year to join the Female Leaders Club. I decided to join because I was looking for women who, like me, have already advanced in their business. I really missed that in my own network—having like-minded individuals I can ask questions without feeling like I’m the one who knows everything. It’s a truly equal exchange with other entrepreneurs, who, like me, wish the best for everyone.
I believe a women’s network is important because we approach entrepreneurship differently. We have a different mindset and bring our emotions into it. That’s something I miss more in men. That’s not to say that men’s networks aren’t valuable, but I personally get more out of women coming together to brainstorm than I would in a mixed network group.
One concrete result I’ve achieved in the club is that I’ve started showing up again for what I consider to be an important target audience. This has given me the courage to step out of my comfort zone more online. Seeing how people react to me here has encouraged me to show up more confidently online as well.
What makes the Female Leaders Club unique is the sense of security among women who are at a higher level. We can share everything here—whether it’s personal or professional, all our struggles—and know it’s safe, that it stays within the group. When I look at other networks, they are much more open, and in those settings, information tends to leak out of the group. As a result, you hold back on what kinds of questions you ask. Here, I feel comfortable asking any question without fear of being judged.”
“I joined the Female Leaders Club because I was running my own community, but I realized I was much further along than the other entrepreneurs. I felt like I was missing people around me who were also ahead, people who could help me elevate myself.
The last time I attended a mastermind was actually my first one, and it gave me the insight to stop doing interim work so that I could fully commit to my own business, The Success Agency. This allowed me to grow my business even faster. I’ve done that now, and I feel a lot more freedom than I did before. It was a concrete step in my entrepreneurial journey that I was able to take thanks to the support of the other women here.
Maartje is a true connector. You can really see that networking is in her blood, and she knows which people fit together. That’s something I really appreciate about her—she can see right through to who you really are. She’s a natural networker.
What sets the Female Leaders Club apart for me is that there’s a revenue requirement to join, so you don’t find beginners here, but rather entrepreneurs who are more advanced. This allows you to elevate yourself instead of constantly mentoring others.
I believe a women’s network is very important because here, you can truly be yourself. There are already so many male entrepreneurs and male networks, but here, everyone is truly equal, and we support each other.
I highly recommend the Female Leaders Club to entrepreneurs who are further along in their journey and are looking for a group of ambitious, like-minded women. It’s a place where you can really lift each other up.”
“Maartje once talked about her club, how she shaped it, and the values they prioritize. And as she was telling me about it, I thought, how amazing! That sounds like something I’d love to be part of because it sounded so inspiring. I joined this club to brainstorm with other female entrepreneurs, to see how they handle certain things, what they’ve learned, and how they approach challenges, so you can gather different perspectives.
It feels like you have this entire circle of incredible women around you, all of whom can provide valuable input for your business.
One result I achieved through the Female Leaders Club was during the last mastermind. You pose a question beforehand, and all the women in your group provide feedback. I shared a situation where I needed input, and at the end of the session, one of the ladies said, “You said this, but don’t you actually mean that?” And the beauty of it is that, because you truly listen to and see each other, you’re pushed to seize new opportunities. That’s how I started my second business, which I’m launching in September.
Maartje, of course, is the leader of the club, the one who founded it. She takes care of everything. In addition to providing beautiful locations and great food, she also creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
A network is really important to me because it allows you to openly share not only what’s going well but also where you face challenges or obstacles. And by looking at these together, you always come up with new creative solutions. I truly believe that we grow further together. I love the idea of sharing knowledge, and in return, you receive knowledge. The fact that we really strengthen each other is key. “Lift as you grow”—that’s something I fully support.”
